Our lives can translate into twists and turns that can sometimes leave us feeling anxious, depressed, stuck, insecure, incapable, and purposeless. Perhaps you have experienced circumstances that have left a wave of debris that is holding you back from making positive choices.
During these times, I can join you in redefining your struggles into opportunity. I will provide a safe environment that translates into opportunity for introspection and growth with clearly defined action steps. I will respect your pace and knowledge of yourself so that you can comfortably seek change. I am here to assist you as you make the twists and turns of life understood, and manageable.
I am a licensed clinical social worker who has worked in both the healthcare and the education system. For 10 years I have developed relationships with children, parents of children, and the elderly. I have led socialization, mindfulness, divorce, and parenting groups in the context of the school environment. I have had success with movement, while working with individuals and often incorporate activity into therapy sessions, lending to a holistic experience.
As a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign I received a Bachelors and a Masters in Social Work specializing in the area of mental health. I transitioned into school social work to obtain a Type 73 certification which allows me to work in the school setting. My special interests are my twin boys, dogs, swimming, and scuba diving.
